Report displays but pop-up box (overlaying it) does not go away
Due to the nature of the report technology that the software uses (for canned reports, not data views), this problem can occasionally occur. It's not a frequent problem and a lot of users never experience it.
You can try pressing the Alt+Tab combination a few times but that doesn't always re-focus the report back to the foreground. If that does not work, rebooting the machine that is being logged into (which may like the server itself) can usually fix the pop-up problem
