Manual Uninstall of DBA Standalone/Server (builds 396.2.1 and older)

In the event that you are unable to uninstall the DBA Manufacturing software using the Add/Remove screen in the Windows Control Panel, perform the following tasks. This will completely remove the software from your PC/Server.

Windows Batch File Instructions

If you are running DBA version 394.3 or higher, and the DBA server is a 64-bit operating system, you can use the Windows Batch File instead of doing the manual uninstall steps listed previously.

Do keep in mind that running the Windows Batch File will immediately delete the entire DBA Manufacturing folder including the database (ejdb.fdb file).  It is very important that you make a backup of DBA before doing the manual uninstall.  The Windows Batch File will also delete the DBA Training Company.

Here is a link to download the batch file:

https://downloads.dbamanufacturing.com/support/CleanFailedDBAInstall.zip

  • To run the command file, copy the provided link above into a new browser tab to download the CleanFaildDBAInstall.zip file .  Open the zip file and extract the CleanFailedDBAInstall.bat file.
  • Right-click on the CleanFailedDBAInstall.bat file and select the "Run as administrator" to launch it.
  • The Windows command prompt will open and you will see a series of command executed.
  • When the series of commands are done, the command prompt will say "Press any key to continue...".  At that point, press any key on the keyboard to continue and the Windows command prompt will close

The DBA desktop shortcut icons on the server will not be deleted with the .bat file.  If you want them to be deleted, you can do this manually after the Windows Batch File
